She emerged fully grown from the head of her father and quickly became a daddy’s girl. When she was young she was best friends (read: in love with) with a girl called Pallas. One day an accident happened and Pallas was killed. Athena was so struck with grief that she from that day on called herself Pallas Athena. Pallas Athena quickly became known for her mediating skills and always tried diplomacy before fighting. This way she solved many conflicts, but when worst came to worst and war was inevitable, she would be an asset to the side she chose to fight on. The best example of this is the Trojan war, when she first tried to mediate a peace. But when that was broken by the Trojans she helped the other side win (the Trojan horse was her idea). She also took pleasure in aiding cunning and courageous heroes on their adventures. Two notable examples of heroes she aided are Hercules and Odysseus. War: Athena stood by her father’s side as his right hand all through the fighting. Mortal:| Sarah was born in London to William and Anne Harper. William a member of the House of Commons, was gone a lot but when he did see his daughter he was a loving and caring father. Anne, once a teacher, now stayed at home, caring for Sarah and the house. Sarah always acted old for her age, something her parents used to joke about. She was also very curious and her thirst for knowledge was insatiable, it wasn’t rare to find her reading the encyclopedia for fun! Besides encyclopedia-reading her biggest hobby was chess, in her early teens she even competed on a national level. She also excelled in school and when it was time to pick a university her only problem was that she couldn’t choose between Oxford and Cambridge. The choice finally fell on Cambridge, where she studied a little bit of everything, getting degrees in math, political science and Greek. After her studies in Cambridge, she started her training to become a diplomat and finished that in 2004. Having visited Greece once as a child she knew that was where she wanted to live and last year she managed to get a job working at the British embassy in Athens. Sarah’s academic success wasn’t really matched by her social life. As a child she hardly had any friends, and going into puberty she hardly knew how to talk to people her age. Her communicating skills have gotten better with age, or rather she doesn’t have to communicate with kids or teenagers anymore. | |||||||||
